Environmentally Sound Site Prep on McKay Lake
Wes Finch and Sons literally made our little cottage on McKay Lake rise high and dry out of the swamp! One never knows for sure what lies beneath but what they found on our site was water, petrified trees and stumps and more water. With their knowledge and expertise they turned a little low lot into an environmentally sound building site which now houses a small cottage, a lovely dry volleyball pitch, and the best lakeside septic with Waterloo Biofilter system. All this work was done leaving the smallest footprint on the lake land. Wes Finch and Sons works with integrity, gets the job done on time and on quote, and has been there for us for any ongoing maintenance required. Building Retaining Walls with ‘The Rock Whisperer’
My husband and I wish to thank you and the Wes Finch & Sons team of 'hardscape' landscaping specialists for building retaining walls using huge boulders and back-filling with gravel and drainage pipes for our driveway. Choosing the thickest and most decorative granite slab stones, perfectly curved, leading up to our front door to make a powerful statement as you enter our house. Your team designed the stone steps around the side of our house and created a continuous stone step pathway from the lake to the house, installing all of them without harming nearby trees. David and his team arrive prepared and have the skills to get the job done right, the first time!
David is truly our 'Rock Whisperer'. He intuitively knows rock placement, creating a stable embankment for the driveway with 'curb appeal' ascetics.
